What is the AIB?
The Anglican Institute in Belgium aims to provide high-quality and accessible training for both clergy and lay persons to equip them to serve faithfully and responsibly in their roles in the Anglican Church in Belgium and beyond.
We provide training for people serving in the different areas of ministry of the Anglican Church. From lay administrators and leaders who need to adhere to laws of church governance and finance and Anglicans serving as chaplains in the Belgian military, prisons and healthcare, to persons simply interested in the Anglican Church.
Our Mission Statement
God’s mission has always been carried out by people who responded to God’s call in their own unique time, place and circumstances. The mission of the AIB is to support, resource and equip God’s people today for this mission in our own time, place and circumstances. We seek to do this by:
Providing high quality training for a wide range of lay and ordained ministries;
Engaging with the present issues and challenges of Belgium, Europe and the world in the 21st Century;
Partnering with world-class educational institutions, global churches and organisations that hold similar values;
We welcome all of God’s people, particularly those who have been historically overlooked or excluded based on gender, race, ethnicity, cultural background, family status, economic status, education, sexuality, neurodiversity or disability.
